Well I live in Michigan & we have no sales tax on food. Thankfully! We are a family of 10! Yep it's true. I am a bargain & coupon shopper so I usually only spend about $125.00 average a week. Without the bargains & coupons it would probably be close to $200.00. I also stock up on big sales & use rebates. Another good trick is to call or go to the web sites of the companies & tell them you like their products & ask if they have any coupons to send you. Most will do this. Happy shopping.

I usually shop on a bi-weekly basis but I spend roughly $150/wk that's broken down. I have a family of 6, but three are on/off. When we have to buy diapers, school supplies, anything out of the ordinary the budget goes up to about 200-225/wk.
The sales tax in North Carolina:
You have a 2% sales tax
You have a 4% sales tax
You have a 6.75% sales tax

I live by myself, and I'd say that I spend about $40 a week on food at the grocery store, and probably about the same amount eating out. We have a 6% sales tax here in Idaho.

I spend about $125 bi-weekly. It's my husband, daughter and myself. I pack lunches, including snacks and drinks, I get up and make breakfast for my husband and child before they leave and I make dinner every night. Most of the time I still have stuff in the fridge and freezer, but I'm one of those people who hate to run out of things. I live in CA and the sales tax is something like 8.65 %

Less than $50 a week, for husband, me and teen son. No tax on "real" food in Canada, but we have federal GST of 7 per cent on junk food, and other goods, along with 6 per cent provincial tax in Sask.
We eat healthily on this, usually sticking to chicken and ground beef. Try to have something take out once a week or so, so that's a bit extra. Nobody buys any meals out, like lunch.

I spend about $60.00 per week on groceries, (just for myself), but I only buy the best; for example, Angus beef, off season fruits and vegetables, fresh baked bread. I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs..so food is my only vice. I live in Michigan, and there is no sales tax on groceries here.

About $100 to $200. Sometimes more. I have five people in my family and I live in Florida. Our sales tax is six percent.
