depends on witch 4-wheel drive system you have. You can't if you have one of the all-wheel drive models.

Yeah, with enough money. But why turn a Jeep into a hot rod? Think about this, all SUV's want to be Jeeps. All Jeep's want to be in the mud or on the trail. Now, if your Jeep has never been off road, what a shame. Sounds like you probably will not take it off road. Do what it is built for, going off road and enjoy the beauty of nature and being free to drive just about anywhere.

A fair amount of Cherokees of this vintage have the very problem you are describing here. Usually it's a failure in the windshield seal. Fortunately it is also usually an easy and inexpensive fix. Take a run down to your local auto glass shop and have them check it out. A simple reseal will solve the problem in most cases.

With full time 4WD no it will not, the 4WD system reacts to differences in axle torque so by mashing down on the gas from a dead standstill is going to activate the 4WD system and send you on down the road.
