sensor that goes bad that causes it to stay on like this, ,its not going to deploy on you,its just telling you there's a Mal-function in the system,but id have the sensor replaced as soon as i could,because in Case of an accident it might not deploy and that could be fatal

did the air bag deploy or just the light came on???

PLEASE ADVISE.....

OK, no answer, so I'll have to guess. Chryslers have problems with the "clockspring" design. This is a flat coiled wire behind the drivers airbag. This gets a workout with the constant turning of the steering wheel.

Check the NHTSA website to see if there is a safety recall or a TSB on these for your vehicle. There was on my minivan. It should be about $100 if you replace it yourself, but be VERY careful around that airbag if you do it yourself!!

This indicates a fault somewhere in the air bag system - take the car to a dealer who will check for codes repair and the light will go out

only dealer can reset the airbag light

When they fix the flaw in the system that turned it on, they will also turn it off.
