I never wanted kids. When my husband and I married, I told him, "0, 1 or 2" 0 was if we decided not to have any or couldn't have any and didn't want to go to extreme measures. 1 - I told him that I would entertain the idea of having one (I'm an only child myself) 2 - I told him that there was a slight possibility that I might like it so much that I would go for a second child. I also told myself that I would do this by age 35 - just a personal deadline I gave myself. Okay, so we get married in April 1999. I turn 35 in December 2003 (after several happy years of marriage and plenty of fun sans kids) and throw away my birth control pills. I find out in March that I'm pregnant and due 2 weeks after my husband's birthday and 2 weeks before my 36th birthday. I went nutso....in a happy way that I never expected. I joined babycenter.com and read EVERYTHING. I bought all kinds of pregnancy books and I read so much that my eyes were bleary. November 20, 2004, Zoe comes along and never have I felt so good...it was quite simply ...amazing - the pregnancy, the birth, and her first 2 years of life. She loves hanging around with other kids so much, that we're currently trying for another one (after 2 miscarriages last year) and I can't wait. I still stand by what I said though....this is it for me - 2 is the most I would ever do. (Now watch..something freaky will happen and I'll get pregnant with triplets! :)). I guess the bottom line is this....I had no desire to have kids my whole life and I had no desire with my first husband (very brief marriage). BUT, when you meet the right person...it's really weird...it's like something turned on...a procreation switch, if you will. I just had a strong desire to create a child with my husband and boy am I glad I did. My daughter is just awesome, and I look forward to meeting her sibling one day. Parenthood is not for everyone, and you cannot miss what you never had, but you've just gotta do what feels right for you, and don't make apologies to anyone. Good luck to you1

I want an even number, either 2 or 4 or 6. My boyfriend says 6 is way too many, so we'll probably have 2 or 4. We already have one little boy, just turned one, and hopefully, depending on if the money situation improves, we'll start trying for number 2 in the fall or winter.

I have 2, am pregnant with number 3...I want 14...who knows what will happen...whatever God gives me. It could be because the doctors told me I couldn't have kids and now I'm having number 3.....anyway. Some people aren't suppose to have kids I think...they are suppose to be the fun one that kids watch when they come visit there mom. It is okay to not want kids. It's kind of funny that you would ask such a question though.....
