I've always had dry skin, but I can't seem to get relief this winter. I've tried every lotion known to man, I drink gallons of water a day, and I load the driest parts up with vaseline at night (dirty!)... but I still have rough cracked hands, feet, and joints...

Help, please, ideas, suggestions??

I would try something to exfoliate the the skin to get all the dead stuff off. Then add some moisturizer when you get out of the shower to lock in the moister. Personally the best lotion that worked for me was the Wal-Mart verison of Eurciun (it was more then half the price, and DID work[but use the kind in the tub, not pump. It's more concentrated.]). Then on places like your hands and feet wrap them in plastic wrap. Hopefully that will help some.
Or you can try that Carousel foot cream...according to the commerical its suppose to work! Good Luck~

Here's a lil tip that might help you overcome dryness- try soaking your hands and feet with castor oil in luklewarm water before going to bed at nighttime. Do this for a week or until you notice softness in your skin.

you could have eczema. You should see a doctor for treatment, but also to using a mild soap to cleanse your skin such as Cetaphil, it doesn't suds up at all. Also try Lotrimin Ultra, it is used to treat athletes foot, but the doctor prescribed it to my sister who has terrible eczema and it cleared it up within three days! it has to be the cream formula though, not the ointment.
