I have never found a website or blog that actually bragged on any brand of vehicle. The net is full of gripes about every brand of vehicle. You never hear about the ones that last 200,000 or 300,000 miles because the owners have nothing to gripe about. If you look hard enough you will probably find the same gripes about every make and model. (That is unless it is a disgruntled Chevy owner who is so ashamed of his mistake, that he won't even tell the dealer.) The last two trucks I have bought were Dodges, the '87 Dakota transmission lasted 165.000 miles with no maintenance whatever, the current mileage is 340,000 on a transmission that had 32,000 when I put it in. My '97 Ram 1500 4 x 4 turned over 173,000 and the only maintenance on the transmission was fluid and filter changes at about 70,000 and 165,000 miles.

Hey dumbass apparently your not aware of the fact that your chevy DURAMAX diesel has an aluminum head. So retard I'll explain it...A diesel sees temps you couldn't imagine in a gasoline. When at full boost pressure and operating temps....your cylinder liners(Parent Bore) will see up 5,000 to 6,000 degrees Fahrenheit on your powerstroke. ...why your precious chevy has decided to put an aluminum head on those kinds of temps...well who the hell knows. You have some retarded engineers working for Chevy's duramax.
Aluminum melts at 1,212 F......and Cummins Cast iron melts at 2795 F. Apperently your just an ignorant dumbass who doesn't know ****.

The Turbo Cummins Diesel has spicer and DANA components....so it is really hard for anyone to believe you that true die hard dodge fans feel this way. There is two reasons things fail is because of design....just as your aluminum head will when it gets a few hundred thousand miles and you have a cracked block. The other is the average dumbass/ignorant operator puts more of a load on the single countershaft transmission or some other drivetrain component....and yea then its probably going to fail.

when you can think of a real question come back.....get a real diesel .....maybe a cummins bud.

Well, I don't agree as for Chevy's, GM makes the BEST cars.like Oldsmobiles. However...I TOTALLY agree with you.....DODGE'S SUCK PERIOD!! And the Dodge makers KNOW they make S--T cars that will take a lot of money to fix them.ie TRANSMISSIONS, but they don't care........they're driving around in nice big Caddy's or better from the money us unsuspecting people spend on their crap!
