The best answer for this is a paint that is designed for concrete floors. There are several to choose from from 2 part epoxies, which would be the best choice if your willing to deal with mixing the parts and applying them fast for they tend to set up quickly, to cheap and affordable latex paints. My advice would be to go to a reputable paint store (not a home improvement store) and ask a professional about all the diffferent options and prices and choice what is best for you

if your concrete floor has never been painted, then i would suggest a cement stain. they make it now in a lot of colors. once you paint a cement floor , you always have to repaint it . buy a good quality paint that is for concrete if you are going to paint it rather than stain it.
