According to the IRS's Where's My Refund website, it says my refund was direct deposited to my account on the 16th, last Friday. I check my account balance with my debit card and it doesn't show any new money.

As today is a holiday and it happened on a Friday, possible Friday night, do you think I'll have it in my account tomorrow? I bank at a small credit union, does someone at the bank have to actually credit my account? How does it work?

Your tax refund was direct deposited on February 16, 2007.

That is all it says... The guy at Turbo Tax said it should say more, but, I guess it doesn't? He was confused himself.

If you bank with a smaller banking institute it is probably posted manually and as you said, today was a Holiday. check with someone at your bank if its not showing tomorrow

My refund that was scheduled for 2/16 was direct deposited into my checking account on Friday morning and the funds were available immediately----there was no delay at all.

Can you look up your account online and see if there is a Federal Deposit pending to your account? Just using an ATM card and checking the balance may not have the amount on there if it was only processed on Friday, but you might be able to view it online. And the fact that it is going to a small credit union may be causing a delay, especially since Monday was a holiday, so hopefully it will show up Tuesday morning. Just call your credit union and see. If the IRS says that they deposited your money and that's the banking info that you gave them, your money should be there by now!

Yes, but I'd call your credit union to be sure. Sometimes if wires come into a bank with incomplete or incorrect routing numbers, it is up to the bank to look up the transaction by hand to figure out the correct account to credit.

Your credit union may not post updates until overnight processes complete which would mean you'd have to wait until Tuesday to see it. Good luck!

It should be there by tomorrow if not the next day. Your direct deposit was processed on friday and since it was over the weekend and a holiday, your money has not made it yet to the bank.

Lets say it was on a wed. Your money might have been deposited to your account on Thru or Fri.

It can take up to 7 days for it to be posted to your account. You will need to wait one business day after you get deposited in your account before you can use it. This way it will be hard posted to your account.

Deposits by next business day, this was a holiday so should be there soon!

Can check for information on IRS.gov also.
