I would say, from what you are telling me,that he got a large number of years, suspended for two to serve....in other words he got 20,but will serve 2 with the rest being probation or something....thats a judges recommendation, not the bottom line...once he gets in the system, any number of factors can kick in,changing the number of years he has to serve before eligibile for parole...conduct in jail, pre sentenceing report facts, how old this "younger" girl was,a ,lot of stuff...so best guess,he messed up somewhere, lied to somebody, asaulted a guard or other inmate..something and got extended.....

There is simply more to the story than this. I'm not sure if you know the real story, or just what he has said in a CYA story. Usually people do the time and get out. The possibility is he is being held as a predator which is a civil commitment in some states instead of a criminal one.
Your loyalty is commendable to a point, but you need to take a long look at who you consider friends and who you should consider an acquaintance instead of a friend.
Check the facts, find out how young this "gal" was and then be a better judge of what happened. I am here to tell you, most people don't admit the whole truth even when they are caught red handed. It is human nature, pure and simple.

Olivia, I cannot for the life of me understand, IF, the guy was sentenced to 2yrs. then they can only make him do 2yrs.. Are you sure that it wasn't 20yrs.?. Under United States Statutes a person cannot be held past his sentence. This is called Double Jeopardy. The fact that he is still there suggests to me that he either has a Stacked sentence, or he's awaiting trial on another charge which even in that case they would transfer him to the county jail of the Jurisdiction in which he still had a case pending.
Another reason could be that he caught another case while inside and was sentenced to more time. The best suggestion I can offer you is to contact the Unit in which he's being held and start asking questions. If you go to " U.S.gov.com and look up the prison Name and log on to their home page. In order to do this you must have his pertinent info. Full Name, D.O.B. and his prison I.D. #. The record will reflect what his charge is and how much time he was given. Or, you can write to the Unit Warden where he's housed and ask for info. Other than that I can't think what else to suggest. I hope this is some help.

GOD BLESS/GOOD LUCK!!

I'd be curious to know your definition of "with a younger gal"? Was it statutory rape? He had sex with a minor? etc. I applaud your decision to stand by your friend but it sounds like maybe there is a little more to his story than he may be letting on to you.One doesnot usually get sentenced for one term, go to jail to serve it and be held back from doing things that work for the good of you later on (and help you when its time to go up before the Parole Board).Sounds little fishy BUT another thing you should ask this friend: Is it just the one offence he has been tried and convicted for? Or have they since charged him with other offense(s) and have found him guilty and added to his sentence. Just seems like there is a whole lotmore to the story. Good luck but pls be careful and dont get emotionally involved with this friend as it can only mean bad news for you down the road if you do and you dont have all the truths and the facts.

If your friend was sentenced to prison for 2 years and he has been in there for 8, then he must have committed a pretty serious offense in prison and they charged and sentenced him to additional time in prison. I think your friend is not being totally truthful with you about what it going on inside the "walls". Its good to be loyal to friends, if they are loyal to you. Is lying to you being a loyal friend?

A younger gal? How much younger? If she's a child younger then he is trash, and you'd do well to throw him away like trash. I'd be willing to bet that there is way more to this guy's story than you're telling us. My grandmother used to say that we're known by the company we keep.

we had an identical ingredient quite a few years in the past and we had 9 cats on the time so as that they did no longer help regardless of it became into only bothered our truck, did no longer get in the different automobile we expect of it became into some sort of squirrel or weasel like ingredient because of the fact the pellets it left at the back of have been too massive to be mice or rat the only ingredient comparable that i can think of of is in europe they theory vehicles have been being vandalized yet they used cameras to verify that a mink/weasel like creature became into chewing up each and all of the hoses and wires under the hoods

There are 2 possibilities.

EIther you are not telling us something in your story, or he is not being honest with you.

NO ONE does 8 years after being sentenced to two. He would have a lawsuit and own whatever state did it to him, and it would be front page, headline news for a year.

If he has been in jail 8 years on a 2 year sentence, something is very wrong. He must have done something to extend his sentence, or unbeknown to you, he hads been tried for other felonies, and he is serving concurrent sentences.

"younger gal?"

....

you look like youre not some 18/19 kid who just made a bad decision to "be with a younger gal"...

theres a big difference between, say 30, and "a younger gal"
and since he went to jail for it.. that "younger gal" is under 18, and doubtfully 16/17...

....
"i dont through them away like trash if they make a bad mistake"

True.. however, that doesnt seem to apply.. thankfully, because child molestation is not just a "bad mistake"....

its a psychological perversion...

I hope you friend goes to jail for life... or atleast 10-15 years... with parole until he's 60.
