Esther was given an amazing opportunity, to become queen. She was an orphan, raised by her uncle. Esther was "taken to the palace" along with many other beautiful girls. She was "taken to the king" and she "won his favor and approval more than any of the other virgins." Throughout all of this, she "Continued to follow Mordecai's (her uncled) instructions as she had done when he was bringing her up. When Esther heard of the plot to kill the Jewish people, she fasted for three days. She went before her husband the king of the Persian Empire without permission at peril of her life. Her bravery and her saved the Jews from certain destruction. How can anyone find fault in her character?

Good Women
Esther and Queen Vashti provided a remarkable contrast for women. Vashti evidently thought that she was so beautiful that King Ahasuerus would always accede to her wishes. But her beauty went no deeper than many skin creams sold today. She lacked modesty and femininity, for she failed to display submission to her husband and king. The king rejected her and chose a truly feminine woman who, in fact, feared Jehovah to be his queen.
Esther serves as a wonderful example for Christian women. She was “pretty in form and beautiful in appearance,” yet she manifested the adornment of “the secret person of the heart in the incorruptible apparel of the quiet and mild spirit.” She did not view showy adornment as the prime thing. Esther showed tact and self-control, being submissive to her husband, Ahasuerus, even when the lives of her people were in danger. Esther kept silent when it was wise to do so but spoke fearlessly when it was necessary and the right time. (Esther 2:10; 7:3-6) She accepted counsel from her mature cousin Mordecai. She demonstrated love and loyalty toward her people.
So a reverential fear of God is essential, and loving-kindness, pleasantness, modesty, and a mild tongue contribute far more to femininity than does physical beauty.
Her love and loyalty toward her people the Jews, who were also God’s covenant people, were demonstrated when she acted in their behalf.

I love Queen Esther! She is how the Church intercedes for us. What a love story. The King is so stern and states that anyone that enters his throne room without previous ok gets killed and then Esther goes to the thrown room unannounced on behalf of her kinsmen and faints with fear but, the King knows someone has entered the throne room and gets all huffy, ready to kick butt, and then he sees who it is and runs to her as she lays on the floor with her handmaidens. He caresses her and tells her she may have even up to half of his Kingdom he loves her so much and then every-time she shows up he points his royal scepter at her meaning she gets free reign of the place ---- Wow! This is how he looks at the Blessed Virgin too. She intercedes for us in this way.
