This is hard, do you mean 2 bucks for the three meals in the day or for a while. Will you have a stove and such to use. The best thing I would do is by ground hamburg for 2lbs its only 4 bucks, a small can of tomato sauce 1 buck, box of pasta 1.25, a lose roll 34 cents, and one muffin 1 doller. You have meat to make a hamburger with roll, dont use all of it. For anther meal screamble some hamburg, boil water, cook the pasta ,then on top of meat pour the sauce when pasta almost cooked. You have meal too and the muffin for the moring.

Its easy to make soup. It will cost even less than $2 a meal.
buy dried beans (your choice)
fresh vegetables (your choice)
(I use potatoes, carrots, celery and onions)
put the dried beans in water overnight. In the morning rinse and boil (you can use a slow cooker so they cook while you are at work). You can also throw meat in there or use broth if you want.
A big pot will get you 6 - 8 (or more) bowls.
You can m ake a big pot of chili by using red beans/chili powder/cayenne pepper/tabasco.
If you m ake from scratch, you will have a lot more and (healthier) than buying canned or prepackaged.
Eat well.

Try pasta and canned sauce. Macaroni, boxed and hamburger mixed almost like hamburger helper. Use the rest of the hamburger to make a veggie soup with a bag of mixed frozen soup veggies and a can of tomato sauce and a can of chicken broth. This will make two to three meals. You can make chili with hamburger, canned beans and tomatoes, canned and chili mix or powder and onions. Think of the things that you can multi use for each meal like the tomatoes, and hamburger and pasta. Potatoes are great for making potatoe soup and baked potatoes or a shephards pie with hamburger and canned corn. I like hamburger with chopped onion and a can of tom. soup. Mix meat and onion and salt put in loaf pan add soup on top , bake for 1 hour. serve with potatoes or rice. Good luck.

Bacon, eggs & pancakes are a cheap meal. You can get about 3 dinners out of a package of bacon. Make up a pan of sloppy joes and get 2 meals out of it. Make a big pot of chili and get 3 or 4 meals out of it. A can of soup and a grilled cheese sandwich is cheap too. Also, hamburgers and hotdogs.
