A well placed "you people" draws more anger though.
Just a suggestion.

initially, examining alien life does now no longer teach, a approach or the different that god exists. 2d of all, there is not any concepts-set there would be a added completely separate alien society with an identical historic previous. If some 'extraterrestrial beings' claimed this, i'd be would suspicious. Even C.S. Lewis, a nicely-conventional Christian writer and novelist, says in his books that 'The Messiah' was once maximum effective complete in the international, that diverse worlds had different procedures of being 'stored'. Any extraterrestrial beings we are available in the time of truthfully would be more suitable adequate to no longer kill effectively for the certainly actuality of a individual's perception or non-theory. i wish that we are the only race in the galaxy or universe bigoted adequate to do this. on the least we've not complete the flair of spreading our religious bigotry around the universe yet and that by ability of the time we learn that technology, we would have the flexibility to have won adequate understanding to bypass away our pettiness in the lower back human beings.

I care about the spelling of atheist as much as I care about the spelling of definitely, and the pronunciation of sherbet.
It doesn't have to do with political correctness, it has to do with general correctness. I don't care what you're spelling, just spell it right. I won't get at someone for doing it wrong, though.. So it apparently doesn't concern me that much.

How is that politically correct? I don't think you know what politically correct means. Proper spelling is just something you're suppose to know how to do. And if someone just misspells due to a typo it usually doesn't bother me. But when people like you misspell it on purpose, then I suspect a deeper meaning behind the misspelling and that makes me curious. Just what do you think you're accomplishing by misspelling atheist?

Not I. It 's easy enough to decipher but when the spelling and grammar is so bad I can't decode the meaning at all it's a problem. Like some that really don't speak english.

I used to take people to task for misspelling and bad grammar and word usage. But there are so many people on here for whom English is a second language that I just accept the variations and move on. This ain't no English classroom! Cheers!

Just trying to be politically correct. Why would spelling annoy someone unless they have obsessive compulsive disorder?

It really bugs me.
All grammar, spelling and syntax errors bug me. It is sheer ignorance.
Moreover, it takes only a few seconds to use spell check.
My six years old expresses his thoughts far better than many who post here.

I wouldn't say it BUGS me. I mean, it could be a typo. But when you see a word misspelled, it also tends to look like the person doing the typing isn't very intelligent. One misspelled word is one thing, multiple misspelled words, or the same thing misspelled over and over is another.

It has nothing to do with political correctness, but more with common intelligence. How can I take someone seriously if they can't even spell a very simple word like atheist?
