I owe money on my credit card and they didn't contact me today. They said I should pay the entire bill by tomorrow but I don't have the money. If I don't pay it, what would you advise me to do?
What can happen? This is the first time they have contacted me.

talk to them about a payment plan. Remember, you owe the money and you have an obligation to pay it. They may send the account to "collection" and then you will have to work with them.

If you up front with them they will hopefully work with you. It is better for all involved!

Contact them & ask them if you can make payments, although you should have been AT LEAST making the minimum payment EVERY month. The BEST thing you could do is cut up your credit cards....You are obviously not responsible enough to have them if you run them up so high that you cannot pay them off. Then you should sit down & make a budget to live by. With NO credit cards!!!!! If you can't pay for it, then you don't need it!!!!!

they will not do anything yet. one contact to you is hardly an effort. they are just trying to scare you into paying so they don't have to go through the long process of suing you. they will call everyday but hold out until they offer to make a settlement with you.

send a check to make a payment and if they cash it they're happy with it . 2nd ? they can take a judgement out on you for the monies and this will stay with you for at least 7 years and you'll have to pay it off before making a large investment (ie) a home. hope this helped good luck.

I woudl add, if you tell them to only contact you by mail, they must do this. IF they do not, turn them into the fair trade commission. You must pay your obligations, but they have no right to harass you.
Good Luck

Lay low; you will really piss them off by trying to change from payment in full to a small payment plan.
