The last guy is right. She said in an interview that she based him on Truman Capote. Kind of makes you wonder who she based Roo Radley on.

The answer is Truman Capote as the others have said. Which your teacher probably said 1,000 times in class. S/he probably also covered him earlier in your class. Teachers don't usually ask you things about things they haven't covered in class, so if you didn't know all you had to do was think about who the teacher has talked about lately and there is your answer.
