My great-grandfather came over from Italy in 1908. His name was FRANK LAVIGNA. In the town that he came from (Cercepiccola, Campobasso, Molise, Italy) , his name is still registered/recorded as a presently recorded surname. That means that his brothers/sisters who DID NOT come to America may have had children in Italy, which means that we have 3rd or 4th cousins living in Italy! I dont know how to find this out and who IS related to me in this town. Is there any ITALY WHITE PAGES where i can write a letter to a person bearing my last name?

I would try posing a query at the following genealogy boards to see if you might be able to make a connection

http://genforum.genealogy.com/lavigna/

Here are some already existing trees. Maybe you can find a connection amongst these. The E-mail addresses of the contributors are included with each tree. You can narrow it down by typing in the search terms at the bottowm of the page.

You might also want to type Lavigna in the search terms of the following webpage as well.

I hope these help. Blessings.

Hi...Try the Italian white pages.....www.paginebianche.it

cognome: surname
città: city
regione: region
provincia: province

Cercepiccola would be a city/town in the province of Campobasso which is in the region of Molise.

Good luck!

Here's a good place to start - http://www.infospace.com/intldb/intldb/pplfindint.htm?QO=IT

I found some of my relatives living in Calabria using this. We met in Rome a few years ago for a visit -

Good luck to you!!
