Mnay people with UC find they do better on a diet that rigidly excludes milk and all milk products. Others can't tolerate fish or some other protein food. A food diary might help you figure out what triggers flareups for you.

During remissions a high fiber diet is supposed to be good, but during flareups, most people are more comfortable with low residue diets. Whatever works for you.

Don't fear surgery if you are having almost constant flareups, as your life will be dramatically better afterwards. I speak from experience.

My wife has Crohn's/Colitis, we are taking a weight loss pill that so far has not increased her bathroom breaks (unlike the Hoodia we tried) Its fibre based so maybe that is why. You can read more about it here

you need low spices and alot of fiber careful with carbs too make sure you eating things from hole grains and not junk
