I`m 12 years old & I only weight 62 pounds.

you sound VERY thin. depending on how tall you are, i would still say that you are probably way too thin

Doctors use the Body Mass Index (BMI) to determine whether someone is at a healthy weight for their height and age. There are different calculators for adults and teens.

I suggest if you want a straight up answer you use one of these calculators. The Center for Disease Control has one on their website (http://apps.nccd.cdc.gov/dnpabmi/Calculator.aspx).

My opinion is that you're underweight. I have a 13 year old sister and she weighs closer to 100 pounds. She's 5 feet 2 inches tall. I don't know how tall you are but 62 pounds does not sound good for you. I think you should talk to someone about how you feel about all of this.

You should be really careful, especially if you're not getting enough to eat. You could permanently stunt your growth (not grow anymore).

First of all, I don't think that you think you are overweight. I don't think you are asking that question at all. By asking that question and then saying "I ONLY weight 62 pounds" you give yourself away. Sounds like you are fishing for compliments.

Why are there all of these young girls in here who ask the SAME question? You are too young to really be worried about your weight!

As an answer to your question, no you are fine. You could probably stand to gain a few pounds.

first of all...are you joking? that is wayyy under weight. it depends how tall you are and what your genes are like. if you are around 5' then you are wayyy too light. you need to be at least 100 pounds. if you are under that like 4'7 then that still might be a little low but im no doctor. go on line like to seventeen.com and do a bmi calculator to see if you are the right proportion.

no, you are underweight.

your young, but u still need to eat healthy foods (limit chips, soda, fast food) and get 30 of exercise everyday.

your weight supposed to be relative to your height, but i think 62 is about 20 to 40 lbs underweight.

no way my 9 year old wieghs in at 70 pounds, if anything you are underweight......
