I have known this girl for longer than I can remember. She and I have had crushes on each other for the same period of time. Last year, she got a boyfriend, and we kinda got distanced over that. Over the last few months though, she and I started talking again, and I could've swore that I saw light at the end of this long tunnel.

I was the person that she would always come and visit on her way home from school (she goes to school in a city a ways away, and on her way home she sometimes swings by), and lately she had been telling me that this guy that she's seeing might not be right for her. That they are better off being friends that a couple. Let me throw out there that I was never one of those obsessed guys at all, and that I respected that she had a good relationship going.

She has been sending me signals that she likes me, so I simply told her how I feel in a letter. All of a sudden she sends me a text message, saying that I creep her out. What is going through this chicks mind?

Sometimes, girls just want someone, preferably one of her best friends to talk to about her love life. Your friend might just treat you as one of her best friends so she shares very personal stuff with you. This usually gives off a misread signal, which is what I think you're interpreting. But usually, after you let a girl know how you feel about her, she usually considers you. She's just shocked. give her some time.

Hope it works out for you! Best of luck.

One, are you sure it was her who sent it, because that seems a little harsh...

And if you know that it was her, then maybe she doesn't mean that in a weird stalkerish kind of way. I think she means it like since maybe you drifted aparted, and you just now started talking to her, she isn't sure of how to respond to that and didn't even know you liked her in the first place. I think you two should spend some personal time together (not intimate or anything), but as friends so that you can grow closer.

Good luck and I hope everything works out! :-)

i'm sorry. :(
i think she thought of you as a friend, and you thought she liked you as a boyfriend. misunderstanding, could happen to anyone.
so then you sent the letter and she was shocked that you felt more than friendship towards her, hence the"creep me out" stuff.
not pretty, is it?
future advice: if you still want to be friends with her, (which i doubt) just keep at a safe distance from her. or just find someone else.

Girls think a lot differently than guys. You really do need to break it off with this one and move on. At best she is flighty. You probably scared her. Either way, move on. Don't let her string you on any longer.

You tried to move out of the friend zone and got rejected.

If she says you creep her out then leave her alone. She has documented it once that she doesn't want to be with you. Do you want her to pull out that text she sent in a court of law....just move on!!!
