noon is 1200
in the pm it is 1300 = 1 PM
is a 24 hour clock so if it is less than or equal to 1259 add the ":" and be done with it. If it is 1300 or later subtract 12:00 and then add the ":"

It's the 24 hour clock. Not hard to use, it just takes a little getting used to. Start at midnight. When you get to noon, that's 1200 hours. One in the afternoon is 1300 hours.

Remember not to put that semicolon in there when writing military time. It is 1920 hours.
