I am 21 and have good credit but private loans still want a cosigner which I dont have. I have been attending community college for 2 years. I have also been working since I was 14 but unfortunately have too many bills as it is without the added expense of moving and going to a university.

Um, do YOU have bad credit? If you are 17 or 18, I doubt it.

You can get a student loan.

Did you apply for financial aid. Regular student loans don't require cosigner. This is with your FAFSA. fafsa.gov If you fill out this form it will also tell you if you are eligible for grants. Most everyone gets some student loans.

Try Sallie Mae too. They'll give a student loan to just about anyone.
You can also try the Parent Plus loan. If your parents try for it and have bad credit that's good. If they get denied the loan will go to you (without a cosigner)

You can also try for scholarships. fastweb.com is awesome for scholarships.

Oh and if you apply for jobs at the university, most full-times will let you take one class a term for free. It'd be a slow going education but still you would get one and be gaining work experience.

you are able to take out greater.. yet once you do no longer could that is greater valuable. yet of course you're on the incorrect song in case you like weed and ecstasy to have a sturdy time. you will burn additional money on that than something, so i'd provide up that in the past I even seen going and putting off hundreds greater desirable than you have, and then working something of your existence to pay it off. What sounds greater valuable to you, having a private loan take a seat on your shoulders for the subsequent 2 a protracted time jointly as you turn burgers at McDonalds finding for a job on your profession container, or see what that is prefer to stay tough for somewhat, yet have a much greater valuable own loan unfastened existence in a while? i'm sixteen so i'm no longer a expert on all this.. yet i know that's usually greater valuable to take out only what you like.. no longer a penny greater, considering the fact which you nevertheless could pay it lower back plus activity.

If your parents have low income, you should be able to qualify for Pell grants and a Stafford loan. Have you filed a FAFSA (fafsa.gov) to determine your eligibility for federal student aid? The best thing I can tell you, visit the financial aid office at the school you expect to attend. They will be able to help you find scholarship, grants, and loans. Remember, these schools want you to enroll, they want money. They do not care who actually pays as long as someone does.

Check with your school on the best places to get personal loans. My daughter is in her 3rd yr. of college and we've never had to cosign for a loan. I know she deals with www.mygreatlakes.com or www.salliemae.com

Good Luck
