You're fine. I am 5' 6" and 114-115 lbs so you *can* dispose of those extrapounds... I do like being lean too. All this "fat is nice" has no grip on me.

Plus, the right amount of pounds is a subjective thing because each person's pelvis and bone structure is different... so the pounds that look good on me might not look good on you and vice versa. My frame is small (my gloves are an XS size!!) so no wonder I tend to be tinier.

However the weight isn't necessarily a good indicator... some people my weight have more fat than me, some have less. For example Teri Hatcher is more or less my frame and height but is 10 lbs less; Penelope Cruz is my frame but a little closer to my weight (110).

I do think I need to lose a couple more lbs because I have an ugly fat pad in my lower belly (and I'm NOT the only one who thinks so). At this moment, I am leaning out and hopefully will put more weight on, but in muscle (like fitness models).

When Is was in my teens I weighed 135 pounds and I am 5'6, I lost some weight not intentional and I went from a size 10 to a size 8 guys thought I looked hotter but I liked being a size 10. I don't think it is healthy. The media reinforces people to hate what they are so you can buy dieting stuff. Its a billion dollar business. Exercise to get stronger and build some muscle, if you lose wait fine.

had the SAME problem...nature DOES take its course but thre real answer to this for me is this...."WALKING"...and a LOT of it....i walked 3 to 5 hours a day and they disappeared. it sounds like a lot, but walking is so good for you....while walking, I lost 37 lbs in 6 weeks....of course i modified my dietary regimen....NO carbs except in the morning.....like ONE muffin...but use tofu as well...with soy sauce, you can have twice the weuight as any other protein and it does NOT make yu gain weight...use FIRM tofu and actually with bottled teruiyaki sauce, you can make what tastes like a great dish..land twice the amount of it as you would have itf you were to use filet mignon...!!!! Also, if yo uasdd horse radish to it, you can make a cottage salad and it is delicious!!!! I am not a vegetarian,, but tofu, the firm stuff. is amazing!!! So walk, use fresh and steamed veggies and try to use PAM instead of any other thing to stirfry...NO rice now. Only Protiens, no white oniions, use green scallions and know that if yu keep your protiein in halves of let's say 9 ounces per day ...but remember that three meals a day is paramount...This is the way that i did it and the weight poured off me, Including love handlws...what i loved was that each day i looked better and it blew not only MY mind, but people around me saw me turn into how i use to look when I had just gotten married.....well? it is now all up to you and I wish yo uthe best!!!!

I am 5'7 too, and 124 pounds, and I still need to lose some weight. Maybe you should lay off the greasy foods and stick to healthy stuff.

Sounds like a fairly healthy weight to me. If it is proportionate on your body, there is nothing to worry about. Check with your doctor what the recommended weight span is for your height, age and bone structure. As you are fairly average to tall, a few extra pounds over the span is not a big deal. Please do not feed (pun) into the hype that thin is in, HEALTHY is in.

wow. i am 511 and 135. u are perfectly fine. i would try to gain weight (but not fat) by going to the gym and working out. you probably want a six pack or thinner legs, but loosing weight is not the way to do it. just eat a little healthier w/o junk food or sweets but make sure to eat protein such as meat. and when ever you have the time, go to the gym and do the elypticals and lift weights. that will help your figure in no time.

honestly, i would say that might be a little heavy. i'm only 5'6 and i weigh 115, at the most i've weighed 125. i would suggest doing pilaties. i love doing them there a great exercise. running or even brisk walking every day will help tremendously! hope this helps you out! good luck!

for a person with a height of 5'7'' your ideal weight is 135. so you are actually at a perfect weight for your height. if you arent happy with it just start excersizing more and eat healthy, but hun it sounds like you are in good shape.
