I spoke to the vet and he instructed me to induce vomiting with hydrogen peroxide, which i did. She threw up treats that she ate previous to the marble but no marble. The vet instructed me to induce vomiting again and she did not vomit the next time. He then said to let it run its course and hopefully it wont get lodged in her intestines. Has anyone else had any experience. Do you think it will pass?

hmm, a yorkie pup's intestines are very small, it would definatly be best to let it pass through but keep a VERY close eye on her. palpate her stomach gently to check for swellings and painful areas and report anything abnormal to your vet. an ultrasound may be the best option if it does not pass in the next few days

I had an Akita puppy who ate rocks! Really, don't worry! As long as the marble was made of glass, it shouldn't cause any harm. It SHOULD pass right through. If you're worried, take your hose and spray through the poop every day 'til you find it, but it's not necessary, really! Now, if the marble was made of some toxic stuff, or was coated in lead paint, etc., then perhaps a trip to the vet would be in order. You COULD give your puppy some regular cooking oil over his food, just a couple of tablespoons should do it, to help things, umm, slide on out....! But it's really not necessary, and may actually do more harm than good if he gets dehydrated. Certainly might cause YOU more work and stress on the housetraining front! I'm more concerned with how the puppy got the marble in the first place. Perhaps you need to get down at puppy eye level and puppy proof your home and yard again? Have fun with your little sweetie! And keep him FAR away from the anti-freeze: Even drips and spills can be deadly if swallowed, and it's sweet, and they WILL lick and swallow THAT!

A marble (as long as it is a small one and not one of the large shooters) is fairly small and has no edges or sharpness to it so it should pass on it's own. Since it does have some weight to it, you need to watch your dogs stool very closely for the next few days. If you do not see it pass, you need to have your vet take a closer look when back and available. This is to make sure it is not causing a blockage or cannot pass due to being too heavy to complete the jurney through the intestines. Of course no further action is needed if you find the marble. If it passes it shouldn't harm anything internally since it isn't sharp enough to rupture anything. Watch closley for signs of distress or changes in eating patterns. That could be a sign of problems. Abdominal pain is very serrious and needs immediate attention...don't wait for your vet take it to ANY vet. As is no bowel movements or fever or throwing up all feeds. That would mean a blockage. Hope it works out easily for you.

Sounds like the vet is an idiot!!!! A marble in a tiny dog is relatively heavy and make get stuck in her tummy or worse yet block off her intestines. She should have an x-ray to determine where that marble is. If is lodges in her intestines, the bowel will start to die, make the puppy extremely ill, and possible death.

The crud my dogs have gotten into is amazing and alarming that they find so much stuff! I bet she passes this without a problem in the world. I suppose you will want to check her stools for a while? Or not, if she seems in distress take her to the vet, if not, she passed it without a care or it's still in there somewhere.

She should be fine. Monitor her eating habits, If she continues to eat and have bowel movements she'll be fine. I had a dog eat a whole box of crayons when i was a kid, other than her crapping rainbows for a week she was fine.

Of course she will. If she vomits it up its ok. All you have to do is follow the doctor's instructions.

I would say YES
But you need to make sure it does.
Check her stool for a couple of days. If she doesn't pass it you will need to have an Xray to make sure it didn't get lodged.
Normally an animal will pass anything.
