Most reputable breeders wont breed a dog that old especially since it is one of the smaller breeds.
It would depend on the dogs health and temperament.
Get her vet checked because there can be some health issues with any dog of that age.
I personally being a breeder myself would not breed a dog that age my dogs retire at 8 yrs old sometimes younger depend ing on the dog.

First of all, I'm kinda assuming here that she has never had a litter of puppies before. If I'm right, than she is far too old to start. Remember: one doggy year is like seven people years. That makes your beagle 70! Would you want to be having kids at 70? 7 or 8 years old is usually retirement age for breeders, very very seldom are any older dogs even able to continue to bear puppies - and most owners don't wish to risk their dog in the process.

Ten years old is not a good age for a dog to still be breeding. Seven year (or so I've heard) is a good age to stop and get the female spayed. After that, it'll just be too hard on her body.

Get her an appointment to be spayed. Dogs don't go through menopause like humans, and continue to have heat cycles into their seinor years.

Oh my yes....To old!!!! Please dont do it to her. I would not breed any beagle over the age of 7. Let her relax and enjoy life!!!
I have a boat load of beagles and do not breed until they are 2 and quit at the age of 6.. There are time limits to a breeding program.
Hope that helps.

Yes, and your dog is well past the age to mate. In fact, I'd be surprised if she could get pregnant at all at that age. When was the last time you saw her in heat?

10 years old is way to old. Please don't be breeding her at this age you could be putting her life or the puppies life in danger.
