Here is one I used for cat urine..it worked for me.
This odor-removing recipe calls for vinegar, baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and dish detergent. These are all easily available at your local grocery store.
First, wet the carpet with warm water and blot up with towels several times to dilute and remove as much urine as possible.
Next, wet the area with a solution of 50% white vinegar and 50% water. Make sure it is nice and wet, penetrating the fibers down the bottom. Allow it to air dry. The acidity of the vinegar will neutralize the ammonia in the cat urine. It will NOT remove all the odor, however.
When it's mostly dry, apply a good deal of baking soda over the affected area and drench it with hydrogen peroxide mixed with a very little bit of dish detergent. Work it with your fingers to dissolve the baking soda and work it down into the carpet. Allow it to air dry.
This worked like a charm for me. There were a couple of small spots that had a little bit of urine odor left, but most of the area treated was quite odor-free, so I reapplied baking soda and peroxide to the recalcitrant spots and the second application worked.
Lastly, to get rid of the white residue of baking soda in the carpet and whatever soap was there, I applied hot water and blotted it up with a towel.

PetSmart has quite a few products for that, but I've never used any of them. If it's just a spot or two, use Resolve. It comes in a red spray bottle and says it's for all stain and odor types. You spray the spot, wait a minutes, blot or rub gently with an old towel. Rinse the towel and move on to the next spot and repeat process. I've used it for years and it works. Just don't wet any area too much. What happens is that the mess goes all the way into the padding. Carpet cleaning takes a little of the stain up, but not all, and it continues to rise up in the carpet. If it's humid in the house, the smell is heightened. All I can say, is keep at it. If you have a major problem, you may want to invest in a carpet steamer and keep on working on it yourselves. Just don't get the carpet too wet. There's all kinds of shampoos that say they neutralize pet stain odors. Run your overhead fans when your working if you have fans.

I used to use Nature's Miracle which is really good, until I discovered a product called Get Serious. Even with Miracle, there was a little residual odor. Get Serious is more expensive, but it is more concentrated, so you use less. Check it out at www.getserious.com It's the best. We find it at the larger pet stores like PetSmart. Has the Dog Fancy endorsement.

You can try Fabreeze, however, the odor may be caused by urine being absorbed into the wood below. If that is the case, change the carpet and re-finish the flooring underneath.

You would be best to rip up that carpet and replace it with new flooring. Also keep the dog outside or in a room that is easy to clean up urine from like sealed concrete.
