Care tips for newly straightened hair?

I permanently straightened my hair today for the first time. Is there are special care tips I should be aware of? For example, are there any shampoos out there that can repair damage caused by straightening? How often should I wash my hair? And anything else that may be useful. Thanks. :)

u can get a hair product from a company called creme of nature its very good on relaxed hair and w/ flat irons...also look online to find out how to ''wrap'' ur hair...aka doobe..where u take ur hair n wrap around ur hair to keep it straight n use olive oil it will keep it moist and shiny
