Some dogs are quieter, sleep more, edgy or protective One of the first noticeable signs you will see, in a short while that they are becoming swollen with milk. Before the pups are born the mom will start looking for a quiet spot, ( in a closet, under a bed, a laundry room) to have them in.

If it's a lot more blood than when she was in heat, then yes, she could have a uterine infection. More than likely though, she is just irritated. They bleed for 7-10 day no matter when they breed during that time. You can take her to your vet 21 days from now & they'll be able to tell you if she's pregnant or not, but it has to be at 21 days of pregnancy.

Sounds to me like you were trying to breed the dog since you DID say in the first sentence, "My female lab met yesterday the male"... That tells me thatyou were trying.
Only you can tell us but this isen't your question, is it?

I would take your doggie to the vets, just to be sure. I know they won't be able to tell you right now, but hopefully it will make you feel better.

Good Luck!! I hope you get whatever your looking for!! ;o)

If she was in heat or her vagina looked swallon it is most likely that she is pregnant. When my lab became pregnant she was very lazy. Was not in any kind of mood to play. Pretty much just layed around all day. Those are some signs that might mean shes pregnant. Good luck.

She sure can be pregnant and at this point I doubt that your vet can tell. Only time can. I'd really recommend that you spay this dog unless you are planning a professional breeding program (sounds like you aren't). With the abundance of unwanted puppies, why make more? sorry, I had to preach, I see this day after day on this website and I can't imagine why people are not spaying and neutering their pets!
