Mixed to make a palatable drink. Or would taste have no meaning.

In 13 years of bartending i can say i have never made that. Absinthe is the worst tasting liq at the bar and everclear has no real flavor but alcohal. I say drink something that you enjoy but dont be in such a hurry to get drunk. if you really want to mix the two cut it with oj or sour mix. Good luck, drink lots of water befor bed.

In regards to real absinthe, click the link below. As for the question, yes, it's an alcoholic beverage, though I don't know how much 'beverage' is in there. Everclear is as strong as it gets to start; the 'absinthe flavoring' is extremely similar to the taste of licorice. I had some and didn't feel any real effects outside of what happens when you normally consume a highly alcoholic drink. For my own tastes, I say "pass" and move on to the Guinness.

taste does not stand a chance in the equation. i would say no to the everclear in first place, absinthe i have never tried so i could not say either way. mixing the two, uh, nope don't do it. if you are going to drink them, try them on separate nights, very far apart from one another.

I believe at that point taste would not be a factor, unless you mixed 1 shot of each with a liter or more of mixer.
But that sounds like the most kick a** drink ever thought of and I would certainly like to give a couple a try.

For a good drink with everclear mix it with ruby red squirt as for the absenth do shots while drinking the everclear mix

Sure mix them and then look at the funny aliens hanging upsidedown on your ceiling or no wait! Those are bats. Absinthe is a drink people drank as they were doing other illegal drugs. It will make you schizophrenic
