Coordinating paint colors?

My husband and I want to paint our living room gold, but we are unsure which colors will work best with it. We would like the room to be sunny, warm, cozy, and inviting. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

with gold i would enjoy a sort of orange red, especially if you want something warm cozy, think warm colors.

I will suggest you go with the fire energy with red, orange colors. Color have a strong impact on our mood. Make up your mind by choosing your favorite one.

That's a great color for a living room. You can go with dark colored furniture with red as an accent color.

what would really bring the gold to life and create a lot of warmth would be the use of spice colors--- cinnamon, nutmeg, saffron,mustard,paprika; and of earthy red/orange colors--- terra cotta, brick red,rust, burnt sienna,spanish roof tile.
Using black wrought iron,bronze, and rich reddish copper for accent pieces would tie the whole thing together. for a bit of lively contrast, you could throw in a few cushions or a vase in an electric shade of aqua or turquoise.
