im 13 and i talk to my boyfriend on the phone a lot...well we dont talk...we are just kinda on the phone but its silent...hes not generally the quiet type, but i just cant seem to keep a conversation going, like usually we just say hey then whats up or what did you do today and then we just listen to each other breath and not say n e thing for an hour before one of us has to get off the phone...i dont want him to get the message that i dont like him cause i do...i like him A LOT ...how can i keep a conversation going? what are some questions i could ask him? thanks!!

He sopose to be your boyfriend, right?......Before he calls grab a note book and pen . Write down what you want to talk about. Every time u think of topic....Do you call him or does he call you? That will make a big difference,too. If you call him--you should keep the conversation going. If you can't . Get off the phone..Call someone that want to talk about the things you want to. If he calls you.....It really means hes interested in you. but he may be the quiet type or he simply doesn't have much to say. Find out what interests him....Games,hobbies, etc. If that doesn't work . Keep it short. Tell him you'll talk to him tomorrow,etc. If he doesn't call you the next day. You'll know he wasn't interested in YOU....

You should ask yourself what things are like when you two are person to person. If there are just as many awkward silences and it's difficult to keep talking, then maybe you're with the wrong guy.
If you guys are really up beat together and have lots of fun and it's never boring or quiet, then maybe you two just aren't phone people. I hate talking on the phone.

Not gunna lie, that's really super weird. I'd feel so awkward and like I'm wasting minutes on my phone. I know something my ex and I did was watch a tv show together while on the phone and we would comment on stuff while we're watching and talk during commercials about like how our day was, our friends, our family, what so-and-so did etc etc. it works and you learn a lot about each other. We used to watch "wife swap" together and it was nice because we'd both share our opinions about families and the way we'd want things to work in our own families and we learned a lot about each other. :)

Maybe the two of you shouldn't talk so much. For instance instead of talking a lot of times each day, you could talk once a day. That way when you finally do talk you will have a lot of interesting and new things to discuss.

casual stuff, view him as a friend less then a boyfriend.....at that point, you'll probably relax at bit more, and he'll start easing up. Ask about what he is doing, maybe a movie, like I said earlier, real casual things

wow, this is boring. obviously you have nothing to talk about and can;t think on your feet. why stay on the phone if you have nothing to say. he's not talking because he probably asleep
