The person who just said above me you shouldn't do an olive oil treatment is wrong. The problem is some people aren't sure the right way to do it.

Right now, you will want to rinse with cold water. Hot water will just make the oil stick to your hair more. So you will want to shampoo some more in cold water. If it still doesn't come out, you will want to take an empty bottle and put 2 parts vinegar and 1 part water into the bottle. Wash your hair with it. This acts as a clarifying shampoo, so there is no need to go to a salon! If that still doesn't work, then just put your up in a towel and roughly towel dry it, that shold get it out.

Okay, now here is the best way to to a hot oil treatment!
You will need a little bit of olive oil, as big as a dime, plus a wide toothed comb. So first you will want to shampoo regularly. Now step out of the shower and put the oil EVENLY into your hair. Now take the wide toothed comb and brush your hair very gently to spread the oil some more. After 3 minutes, go back into the shower and rinse your hair with really cold water. This won't get it all out, but once your put your hair into a towel, the oil will soak into the towel, so don't worry.

It is a great deep conditioner!

Oh yikes. you probably shouldn't have done that. Oil doesn't mix with water so it won't come out too easily. The problom here is, you're now going to reverse what you've just tried to do so that you can get that oil out of your hair or, for the next week, it will feel all heavy and most likely, look like you need a good washing.
So, go to a salon and ask them for a clarifying shampoo. It is designed to take anything out of the hair that is not supposed to be there (providing that you use it as recommended and that would be only once per week, if needed to remove heavy product).
Now..you can ask them to do a clarifying treatment on you which would include you going under the dryer with the shampoo(s) on your hair and a bag over it and then a deep conditioning treatment.
I hope that you get a salon to do it and purchase a clarifying shampoo as well.
Good Luck! ;o)

it should come right out, but a clarifying shampoo would help. straight up olive oil isnt best. Regis makes an olive oil shampoo, that would be a heck of a lot easier on your hair.
