So there's this really really long and involved story with this guy. But the weird thing is, we don't...talk to each other, if that makes any sense. And its not like anything happened. Just last year we sat next to each other in one class and would randomly make eye contact and sort of smile, but nothing more than that. He would sort of flirt with me too, but I was too much of a retard then to know that he was flirting.

Then he did something that made him popular. (Not bad or anything; I just don't want to go into it. And he didn't do it to become popular. It just sort of worked out that way...)

So now, every time I see him in the hall, he'll kind of half-smile when he sees me. There's more details than that, but again...long story. Sometimes he'll randomly bump into me, too. Not in a mean way, just, ya, you know.

(More in additional detials sorry!!!)

But he and this girl are going out. And it seems like, when they are in the hall together, he acts all sweet toward her and stuff, but if he happens to see me looking then he'll sort of inch away or something like that.

Or this one time they were hugging, and he saw me and kind of took a step away. Or today, she was about to give him a kiss on the cheek, but then he gave me this sort of "I'm sorry" look and hugged her instead.

They used to walk together after this one class and I was always behind them, but they don't do that anymore.

And its not like I can just randomly go up to him and be like "Do you like me?" becuase he has a girlfriend.

Also I get SUPER SUPER nervous, actually one time to the point of getting nauseous...

I don't know if I'm just putting things together if I want them to be there, or if he actually likes me.

Sorry its so long, but I wanted to make sure everything was there.

Thanks for any answers!!!

When we like someone we usually imagine things in our head that they like us too by giving us little signs like you said he has been doing..I dont know if he does like you ..... you both are not going to get together if you don talk...so what if he has a girlfriend maybe he is waiting on someone better..make more of an effort to chat with him and then you wont be so shy.

It's very possible that he was interested in you before he started dating this other girl (and maybe he still is a bit), but he made a choice to start seeing her. I don't think it's fair for you to disrupt their relationship. Try being friends with him, just some casual talk, and treat him as you would anyone else. This may help you diffuse any awkwardness you have with him, and it'll give him a chance to see how great you are, which if they break up, he might become interested in you. Don't waste your energy and beauty on someone who isn't available. Make yourself, your social life/interests/hobbies the priorities. If he comes to you on his own, it will be so much more rewarding. And if he needs to be a part of your life, it will happen.

I hope I offered something that's at all useful. Good luck to you!

I'm pretty sure I understood your question.
Well, it's obvious he likes you at least 1/10. I'd wait and see if he keeps doing this. If he breaks up with his girlfriend at any time, you'll want to move in on him and grab him before anyone else does. Just be nice around him, talk to him, etc.....

What I think is that he likes you (he gave you an "I'm sorry" look). But maybe he doesn't know how to tell his girlfriend he wants to break up; that way he can be with you.

It sounds like he does like you and is interested. Talk to him sometime, you don't want to just have to sit and wonder what could have been... Talk to him. Go for it. Be polite and calm and say like, "hey, could I talk to you for just a sec?"

Then be like, "I know you have a girlfriend and everything, and I respect that, I do. But it just seems like there's something between us or that you're interested in me.. .Maybe I've got the wrong impression, but I don't know, it's just something I feel and I've noticed.. What do you think?"

Hope this helps!
