Sorry a broken tail bone is painful as your respondents mentioned and the donut is a very good idea. It will take about 6 months for the pain to slowly be relieved. There is really nothing else that can be done. Time is the Healer in this case. Warm Sitz baths are also helpful for the soft tissue injuries that may accompany the Tailbone break...

Sorry - other help... Muscles can have knots (trigger points) that make them tight which in turn put pressure on nerves and other things causing pain.
Molasses - a couple of swigs or Bananas 1 or 2 - both contain magnesium and potassium for muscles.
Try working with the principles taught in The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies.
I use a chiropractor and massage therapist with it

Nope. Just time, rest and some pain meds if you need them.
Like everyone said, a donut cushion will help a bit but only from sitting directly on it. Two of the same hard cover books work similarly.
Avoid big, soft chairs and couches and sit on the edge of the chair using your "sits" bones (ischial tuberocity) as much as possible to sit on the books, one on each side (left and right) leaving the space for your tailbone.
DON'T SMOKE. Nicotine prevents bones from healing.

there is nothing corrrective to do. Sitting on a "donut" can ease the pain. Any round soft cushion with a hole in the middle. A child's blow up ring for the pool or something similar.
It's miserable. Hate it for you!
Best wishes.

I've sprained some ligaments and have torn muscles. Surprisingly, I've never broken or fractured a bone considering how physical I am.

Just rest and try to stay as comfortable as possible. That may involve the temporary but legitimate use of pain meds.

You can buy a donut cushion to relieve pressure when you are sitting. It is painful and takes a long time to heal. Sorry.
