Honor killings are not sanctioned by Islam or the Koran but are based on culture, although some may cite religion as the reason. They are done everyday throughtout the middle east, Africa, India and countries throughout the world in cultures where women are considered the property of the males in the family. If a woman happens to bring shame upon her family for whatever reason she can be killed.
Note: they are not done by the people who wrote the Old Testament, please...

It has nothing to do with Islam.Such people are illiterate who have never read the Quran,and if this was in Islam so don't you think that every single Muslim would be doing this.These people live according to their rulers called wadayras.I live in Pakistan:)

there are more than that in the US everyday.... they just do not all get reported.... There is no reforming islam.... the quaran is islam and islam is the quaran... there is only one islam and it is as it has been since mohammid(no pbuh) invented it... there is no place for reforming within islam.... it is what it is... one is either of islam or not of islam... and if you are not of islam, or if you violate islam law, you are subject to death... period...there is no room for debate... that is the word of the quaran...which is islam.
