No it is not a sin, just that is encouraged greatly. The prophets were divinely inspired to circumsized for certain reasons. Recent studies have shown that it is more hygenic and largely prevent the infection of sexual diseases. There are also studies that circumsized men suffer less risk of contracting aids.

Circumcision was a law from the Old Testament of the Bible. Since the Son of God, Jesus Christ, was the ultimate sacrifice and paid for all of our sins when He died on the cross, we don't have to live by the laws of the Old Testament anymore. So no, it is not a sin or unholy to be uncircumcised.

No. Circumcision is a rite practiced by the Jews since the days of Abraham (I think by the Muslims as well). The New Testament teaches us that all the rites described in the Old Testament were a shadow of things to come in Christ, that all has been completed in Christ, and their only purpose today is as a teaching tool. The apostle Paul, who was of Jewish background, insisted that any non-Jew who converted to Christianity should not be circumcised, and if he chose to be circumcised he was actually cutting himself off from God's people. (I presume he meant circumcision for religious reasons). A lot of people today feel that circumcision, or partial circumcision, is a healthy practice. They could be right.

In my experience, I don't believe it is a SIN to be uncircumsized, but religiously, it was a covenant between Abraham and God to circumsize his son Ishmael, and eventually all of his progeny in order to be different than the pagans and a symbol of his submission to God's command.

Health-wise, it is much more sanitary to be circumsized.

Yes it is a sin for a male child not to be circumcised. God clearly states that circumcision is to be done. It is just a peace of skin and serves no purpose. People would argue well why is it there if it is superfluous to requirements. Well you cut your nail and hair don't you? There is plenty of medical evidence to say it is beneficial to have it removed, less infection, less deceases and even less cancers for women and circumcised men. If i have a son he will definitely be circumcised no doubt about it.

Romans 2:28 For he is not a Jew who is one on the outside.
nor is circumcision that which is on the outside upon the flesh.
But he is a Jew who is one on the inside and his circumcision is that of the heart by spirit and not by a written code. The praises of that one comes from Men and not from God.
Jesus cast them off as his people following his death and that was no longer a requirement.

It was a way for Jewish parents to show their children who's the boss.

".. and if you don't finish your homework I'll cut off more than just your foreskin!"

At a time when people didn't know that bathing regularly would prevent many kinds of infection and disease, circumcision helped prevent certain kinds of penal infections.

However, in today's age of antibacterial soaps and what have you, infections due to having a foreskin and extremely rare, so circumcision is pretty old fashioned and in recent studies is going out of style.
