i am watching the little girl from next door while her mom is away on business. She has a head of very curly, but coarse hair. her mom did not tell me how to style it. Is there any products made for people that have this kind of hair. she told me to comb thru it but the poor child just cries and cries when i try to comb thru it. any ideas?

Use a VERY wide toothed comb...
I hope you are not using a comb with little teeth, thats torture.

Yes definitely a wide tooth comb. Do you have any moisturizing hair dress or grease? If not, you could go to any drug store and pick up Luster's Pink Oil Moisturizer. Spread evenly on her hair so that it will be easier to comb.

You may want to wash her hair and use a detangler. Then go through it small portions at the time with a blow dryer that has a comb attachment. Then you can braid it or flat iron it, depending on the look you're trying to achieve.

She should have left some products for you to use. Just regular moisturizing conditioner would help soften her hair so that you could detangle it and braid it. If you want to buy something, you could go to the beauty supply store and ask the clerk for a product commonly called "hair grease", just concentrated hair conditioner.

get creme of nature execellent product for color hair n also it works best on lil children they're products have nothin but all natural stuff n also has detangeler ingred.

it has to be moisturize once you have a coarse thick hair you must keep it moisturize.....
