I highly recommend the book "Babywise." It deals with scheduling and parenting styles. A baby who has a good routine will form healthy sleep habits. Both of my children were "babywise babies." The first was sleeping through the night at 3 months (8:00 pm-6:00-6:30 ish). The second was sleeping through the night at 7 weeks (same time frame). Again-- get the book. Good luck!

My oldest daughter slept through the night at 6 weeks old - my twins slept through the night at 3 months. By through the night I mean 9 or 10 at night until 7 or 8 in the morning.

My nephew is 2 and he has been sleeping through the night for a long time. I'd say about 4 months or so is the approximate age.

One of my six scared the living hell out of me because they were only two weeks old and they started sleeping through the night. They went to bed at 7 pm and didn't get up untill 8 am the next day. When I woke I had to poke her to make sure she was still alive. But that was really weird. It's not common. The rest of them were into their toddler years before they didn't wake in the middle of the night any more.

My son is now 10 months and started sleeping through the night at about 5 and a half months after i fed him baby peas for the first time and then gave him a bath so i kept doing that nightly routine and he still sleeps through the night. The Doc said they get fuller when they are spoon fed rather then putting baby rice cereal in their bottles.

My daughter is 3 months old and she sleeps from 8:30pm to 6:30am.
I highly recommend the book "On Becoming Babywise" by Gary Ezzo and Robert Bucknam, M.D.

I have 3 my oldest had stomach problems so didnt start sleeping through the night until she was 2. my middle child slept through the night when she was first brought home and my son is doing it now at 15 mos. make sure you get them off the milk at night and on water(so they dont rot their teeth)

Both my children, started about 3 months old.
But depends on your defenition - they would feed around 10pm and sleep until 7am.
They started to go to bed around 630-630/7am around 5mths
they were both bottle feed, and I would ensure room dark and have soft music in the background. I am very lucky with 2 great sleepers, but I do really belivie it is about routine and being confident and doing the same thing over and over ...goodluck
