A Gospel presentation is incomplete without the whole truth. That includes hell.
Why bother with Christianity if there isn't a negative to complement the positive?
The Gospel is often watered down by well-meaning folks, because they either don't understand what is at stake, or they hope they can "love" people into the Kingdom.
That however, is bad theology; and worse, can make an unregenerate person think they are saved, when they still remain dead in their sins.

When you are trying to sell your used car, do you also point out the problem areas as well as the cool sound system?
When selling a religion, you focus on the good stuff. Only when people have bought in, do you mention the not so good stuff. If people won't buy in, you can use the not so good stuff as a threat...if you don't buy in, god will send you to hell, etc. That may close the deal with the more gullible people.

I dont think theres any shortage of Christians that arent willing to warn people about eternal punishment. What yahoo have you been on?
God IS loving for offering us a way to be saved, he is only going to send the people to hell that were unbelievers and/or hypocrites. Love does NOT negate justice.

I am more inclined to believe that the problem lies within the Christian leaders and not in the Christian God. After all, they are the ones who twist the loving-merciful God thing and try to use fear as means to gain more converts.
By this I intend no disrespect to Christianity as a religion, for I am clear in stating that the problem is the Christian leaders, not the people who follow those preachers.
The Preachers are the ones responsible for preaching love and deliver hate.

Do you honestly think God wants you to spend eternity apart from Him in the place the Bible calls hell? No, He doesn't. Instead, He wants you to be with Him in heaven because He loves you. The Bible says, "He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance"(2 Peter 3:9).
Those words were written by the Apostle Peter—and if anyone was guilty of denying Christ, it was Peter. Do you remember? Jesus had warned Peter that he would deny Him, but Peter strongly disagreed. Then Jesus was arrested, and when someone asked Peter if he also was a follower of Jesus, "He began to call down curses on himself, and he swore to them, 'I don't know this man'" (Mark 14:71). But Peter repented, and God forgave him—completely and totally. And He will forgive you.
Yes, Jesus said only one sin couldn't be forgiven, and that was "blasphemy against the Spirit" (Matthew 12:31). But what does it mean to blaspheme the Spirit? I have studied Jesus' words very carefully, and it simply means this: To deny the Holy Spirit's witness to Jesus.
In other words, the only sin God can't forgive is the sin of rejecting Christ. But why reject Him any longer? God's promise is for you: "Whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:18). Commit your life to Him today.

the bible clearly states that judgment awaits each of us, that each of us must an account of our lives after death.
the bible also clearly states that the wicked of the earth will be swept away into terrible destruction and punishment.
you are right that these days there is an emphasis on God's love and not much talk about hell, judgment, or our need to repent of our sins. it is a weakness in much preaching today. go back through church history and you will see that today's fluffy cotton candy God-is-love type Christianity is not the norm. Nor is it pleasing to God.
god bless

God doesn`t impose himself on us - the choice is ours - there are physical and spiritual laws - the enemy of soul (the devil) has but short time before the second coming hence all the death, disease and dying - God cannot intervene until it is his time unless we ask him -
The flesh eventually dies because it is corruptible but if you feed your spirit (and feed it well) it is this that will live on into eternity - note:- whether you serve God or not, your spirit will live onto eternity - the choice where you spend eternity is simply yours - chose life
Because he cares

Yes, He does both. I like to tell people about the love of God rather than speak of hell. Hell is so avoidable, why talk about it all the time. People get sick of hearing us talk about Hell.

Only you yourself can send yourself to hell. God does not send you there. You have free will to choose which path in life you will take. The path of life or the path of death, you choose
