If u mean what is the basic structure of a nervous system then the answer is neuron. But if u want to know the central structures of the nervous system then u already have the answers- the brain- right & left cerebral henispheres, midbrain, pons, medulla, cerebellum & the spinal cord!

yeah, like everyone said...the central nervous system (CNS) refers to the brain, brain stem, and spinal cord. To offer a slightly different answer than everyone, within the brain and spinal cord exist openings in which cerebral spinal fluid is contained. This fluid acts as a shock absorber for the brain and spinal cord. In the brain it is made in the lateral ventricle, travels to the 3rd ventricle, the 4th ventricle, and then has several pathways it can take, one of which involves traveling down the central canal of the spinal cord as well as surrounding the spinal cord.

the spine is refered to as the central nervous system. this is the housing for main nerve cells and the means of all nerve signaling.
