I believe the proper phrase would be "Jesus' sandals", and Jesus wasn't the first deluded fool to think he was the son of some imaginary god. In fact, there's a homeless guy in front of our local grocery store who swears he's the second coming.

What the heck would I want to save their sins for? I'd rather free them of ill will than keep a running record of their travesties.

Some of the answers on here are so honest it warms my heart. I'm usually pretty down on religion and seeing so many people admit that they wouldn't sacrifice themselves makes each and every one far more humane (I know it should be the opposite) than I remember to realize sometimes. We're all in this crazy world together. Now, I must go make a witty remark to a Christian. Excuse me.

If I knew that what I was dying for was real and genuine and going to accomplish the intended purpose, yes I would. My life for mankind would be a small price if the cause was certain to succeed.I'm not big, though, on the idea of dying for nothing, such as in just another war, either as a soldier or an innocent victim. No thank you, too many millions of people have died that way already.

Hmm, that's an interesting question and to the answers I have read here already I sincerely hope that you folks are joking. If not I would have to say that there really is a need to cleanse this egocentric and self-involved world. If events unfolded and I was put in a similar situation as Jesus was in, I would have to say yes. I'm trying not to be self-righteous, believe me theres nothing more annoying than that. How can you people have so little love for your own species? Again I may be being a apprehensive but I genuinely hope that you people were joking when you were saying no.

I couldn't b/c Jesus was perfect number one. B/c Jesus is part of the Trinity so it would be impossible number two. B/c I can't imagine it.

Good question but I can't even say I could picture it as I am human and looking at it through less than perfect eyes.

God Bless

No, absolutely not since I am not the Son of the one true God and not worthy or strong enough to carry that burden.

Given the chance of taking my Lord's place on the cross...in a heartbeat.

ps: it seems that there are several ways to read the question.

Hell no! but Im not Jesus. Im glad God loved us enough to do that.

John 1:10-11
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

Lots of people already did and more people will happily accept this sacrifice. In God's wisdom, shame is glory; in human pride, greatness is mere dust.

I think you've got it mixed up. He didn't sacrifice Himself to save our sins. He sacrificed Himself to save us FROM our sins.
