They like slamming the believers but they sure don't like anyone telling them they are wrong. LOL What a messed up bunch.

Julia Sweeny is a perfect example...her one woman show is nothing but a knee-jerk reaction to Biblical Literalism. Show me a person who claims to be an athiest and I will show you someone in a lot of pain and they blame God for it in some way or another. It's sad. We will just continue to pray for them. Life is hard and it isn't easy being human; for any of us.

Why are some Christians so quick to anger? They like slamming the atheists but they sure don't like anyone telling them they're wrong. LOL What a messed up bunch.

The keyword here is SOME. You get variety in Atheists just like you get it in Christians or Muslims or whichever other religious group. SOME Christians are also quick to anger, if you do not share their views, so it really works both ways. I personally do not find Atheists to be particularly more "easy to anger" than any other group of people, nor do I find Christians (I can only express an opinion on them because I have very few friends of other religions, living in Catholic Italy) particularly fond of being told that they are wrong.

Some people are just quick to anger, no matter what label you put on them. Just like some people like to call others a messed up bunch if they don't agree with them.

How do you tell them they are wrong? I only ask this because I am a Christian and I believe that our job as followers of Christ is to lead people to him. Not chase them away. I am not saying you do that, haven't read your Q&A's, but there are many on here that do just that. I don't agree with the atheist belief and I don't like it when they bash Christianity either, but to be honest, some of the people out their defending our Lord, are being so rude and hateful, that it has made us look like we are rude and hateful. Maybe WE, as Christians, shouldn't expect them to stop bashing us first. Maybe we should humble ourselves and stop firing back with what we say we do not like. Really, Jesus told people the truth and what was on his mind, only lost his temper once in the temple. While he was telling people what was on his mind, he also explained why and he also showed love. As they put him on trial and persecuted him, beat him, and hung him, he didn't call anyone names. He didn't even argue. He said, "Father forgive them for they know not what they do". He prayed for them.

The reason Athiests like myself are quick to anger, is because, when i try to talk to someone about it, i am open to what i have to say, but as soon as i say, i dont believe in god because honestly whats harder to believe, a great being watching me all my life, writing down all the things i do wrong.

and for the next 30minutes i hear well in verse blah blah blah, your going to hell.

makes me reallly want to give you religious people a big hug!

Probably because they've been beaten up by Christians all their lives, and told their opinion are wrong or misguided constantly.

Never recieving validation as to one's believe system can do that to a person ya know...even (and sometimes especially) Christians.

Theists, especially christians, try to control and restrict us based on their views. If all christians stop crusading against science, culture, art, sex and sexuality, religious freedom and such, and stop telling everybody else they're going to be tortured throughout eternity unless they join you, I assure you that you won't encounter nearly as much hostility.

Just reading the replies so far demonstrates my point.
