Fact from fiction, truth from diction. I am always told by others who say they are Christian that the Word is correct, and should be followed. Yet many(specially women)act as if they don't REALLY BELIEVE that. They want to follow the Word until it comes to Ephesians 5:22-24. As if it is somehow misologic and neck deep in shovanism. The Lord clearly set out the pecking order but He was also wise enough to know, if you give people power, be they boss, President, Senator, or husband, that power can be abused(everyone secretly want to be like God). What they miss(as most people)the second half, Eph 5:25-30. Don't blame the Word because many men are butt nuggets and don't follow the perfect plan(uinless you want to say God's plan is not perfect, and if not, whay are you following him?) If you were given intructions on how to put something together would you leave a part out solely because you did not like the color it was? Then why cherry pick the Word?

Eph 5:22-24: 22-Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23-For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is Saviour. 24-Now as the church submits to Christ,so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

Eph 5:28 & 29: In this same way husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29-After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feed and cares for it, just as Christ does the church.
(not the whole verse, you can look that up, just the part that matters most)

When those verses are read they ARE red in CONTEXT. Submitting to one's husband has nothing to do with the fact that he works more or less than his wife. Certainly didn't see anything in there that said she should submit to her husband ONLY if he is doing equal or more work than she. That is feminizing.

I would tell any True Christian wife that if her husband is not living Eph. 5:25-30 that he is not a true Christian and that she should ask him if he wants to be released from the marrage... unless he comes around it is nearly impossable for the wife to fulfill her part of the instruction...... any "feminizing" of God's Word is not coming from any True Christian Women

For one, it depends on what church you go to. Not every church follows the same beliefs or have the same teachings, even if they are Christian churches. 1 Corinthians 11: 3- 10 gives a woman permission to speak in church if they have their head covered. It was a rule given by Paul because the church because they Christians in the church were new Christians. In 1 Corinthians 14:33-35 Paul changed the rules because the church became disorderly. There is no passage that tells you to ignore what is impossible in the society today. The Christians religion is a cafeteria style of life, where you can choose to follow one rule and ignore the other. As I said earlier, not every church adheres to the rules. Those people are called false brethren (2 Corinthians 11:13)

None of my Christian friends are doing that. It was funny one day my husband had to read a scripture verse in Church and sure enough it was Ephesians 5:22. We both had a good laugh over that. I had to sit in Church with a straight face while my friends turned to look at me. I have no problem with scripture. God has His reasons and He made us and knows best.

Those verses are beautiful and can give you a little taste of heaven in your home, when adhered to (by both men and women)!
