I would ask for a demonstration.

That would probably never happen but I would ask him why. Now, if I were to be diving into say - a deep river below the cliff that was filled with oh i don't know, wine or something that would cushion my plop then sure why not, now if i were to be jumping off a cliff just for the heck of it, I'd ask him to save me.
Then if he said no, I was just going to die, I would tell him my mom told me to not let people - especially men - pressure me into doing anything i don't want to.
Sike no probably not, I would push why. Then maybe jump.

Having a belief that this current mortal life is only a temporary stage in the eternities, this seems like no big deal to me. If God appeared to me and made such a request, that would be "proof" enough to me that the Bible is true and this would be a non issue. Of course I would do it. However, God being a purposeful God, it would seem a bit odd that he would take the trouble to ask me such a question. Like, would it be all that important to God that I jump...?

It is mentioned in the Bible that God will not appear or speak to man directly like he did in the old testament. Therefore, If I saw God and he told me to jump off a cliff I would seek some mental health counseling and pray to God to see me through this illness.

If someone told you could have eternal life by eating a light bulb, would you do it? Youd probably ask them what wattage!
God doesnt ask people to just blidnly kill themselves. Typically if God required people in Scripture to lay down their lives, it was for a good cause facing evil and they will be redeemed!

I was going to say, "Get lost!", but the first responder did me one better. Unless, of course, we are talking about the FSM, in which case I would seek a blessing from His noodly appendage --- and hang on for dear life.

I would do whatever He asked me to do, and just like with Abraham and Issac, He would stop me before I jumped off or He would catch me when I started falling or He would make sure I had a safe landing. I trust Him with my whole heart and soul.

I would tell him to go F himself because he doesn't deserve the tribute. Why does he allow people like child molesters and rapists to exist.

God doesn't ask His children to do that kind of thing. He wants you to live for Him. God is a God of life, not death.
