I thought it was sad they let their lust ruin their lives and the lives of their wives and children. It is the homosexual counterpart of "The Ice Storm."

A very sad, infuriating film. It's a shame that two persons who were happy together couldn't enjoy a lifetime of happiness because they were kept apart by their own fears (well, at least one man's fears) and society's small-mindedness. Life is too short and love too precious to let fear and ignorance interfere with happiness.

Brokeback Mountain is a very effective film about what happens all to frequently in homophobic societies.

What makes this film so devastating is its simple, understated approach.

What makes this film so remarkable is that it was made by a heterosexual man from Taiwan.

Heartfelt, honest, very beautiful. Not really my kind of movie - I don't watch love stories much, and this was definitely a love story. A tragic love story.

Groundbreaking subject matter, nicely shot, but otherwise a routine love story.

Saw the movie and didn't like it much. And the way it flopped, I guess, says it all, doesn't it?
