Nope should be find, the size seems to be perfect. If you have any questions about your dog due to her age you should see a vet before breeding. Hope this helped

Your dog should not be bred. She is too old and you don't sound like you have ANY breeding experience, responsibly that is.

Your female should have been fixed 8.5 years ago. This other dog should also be fixed.

Remember, the ONLY reason to breed is to improve the breed. Breeding for fun or money is downright unethical and immoral.

Zackary: Is this a joke? Please, don't waste our time.

Your dog should not be bred. If you want cute puppies, go to a good breeder and buy some. Breeding your senior dog for YOUR pleasure is immature and a HORRIBLE idea. Sigh.

Isn't there anything we can do about all these Backyard breeders on here?

YES!!! 9 yrs is like having babies when your 70. Not only that but females should ALWAYS breed down in size. You mention he's bigger in size than she is. The fact that she is TOO OLD, combined with his size could cause her to concieve large puppies. TOO large to give birth to naturally. Which means C-section. At her advanced age it's just not wise. It's best to spay her. This will prevent certain types of reproductive cancers, & she might just live longer too. Hope this helps. :)

She is too old to breed. She is too small to breed and the male is too large to breed with her. The pups would be too big for her to deliver. You would most likely lose mother and all babies.

First off your dog is too old to be mated with any dog. For pete sake she is 9 years old!!! She's a senior dog! I feel it is very dangerous for her to be bred at her age at all.
She past her prime so please leave her be and if you really want another dog go and purchase one.

Nine is far to old to be breeding your dog.
Your dog should not be bred at this age.
