If your cat is not eating, that is one of the first signs that something is wrong. When an animal won't eat, then you know that there is a problem. The fact that he is sleeping more is a sign of that too. I think in general, a cats nose may be moist but the other symptoms are what really raise the red flag. It may be that he has an infection or some sort. You should take the cat in for and office visit at your earliest opportunity. The vet can take the cats temperature and go from there.

The dry nose is nothing to worry about. My cats noses go from wet to dry all of the time. What would concern me is the abundance of sleeping mixed with the lack of appetite. I would take him to the vet to be safe.

Not necessarily
The way to tell if a cat is sick is by feeling the inside of the ear.
A cat that is well, has cold ears (cool). If they get sick the ears will be warm.
A dog is by the nose but a cat is by the ears

I don't see anything wrong. Cats noses aren't always cold and wet. If you're really concerned, call a vet and ask questions. Tell him what you told us. See what he says.

Take him to the veterinarian asap. It;s really the only way to tell. Don't wait too long either.
