i really want to start helping children in bad conditions in Africa or wherever but i dont know how to begin. and i want to really work at it and not just have it be a fancy line on my college application. Can someone follow me through the steps please??

That is a good idea... And the best thing would be to start at the top... You basically cant have anything on school premissis without the principal's say so so go straight to the principal. But be prepared. Do it kind of like a presentation. Present your proposal, explain how it would work, and present a list of people who are wanting to join this cause. Hopefully he will agree.

You have good intentions, may all your dreams come to pass.
Start a social club and look for an affiliation with an organization in US that is doing the similar programs as you have in mind. Then make an effort to have a working relations with a charity in an African country, to introduce you into the terrain. If you are interested in Ghana, send a mail to the
