My birds used to have mites and we went to PetsMart and bought a really go product. The name of it was Ultra-Care 8in1 Mite And Lice Bird Spray.I am not sure how much it costs I am guessing around $5-$10. I recommended it to you. I hope you canaries get there tiny mites of there bodies.

Look for a product called SCATT. It works very well. Apply once, reapply in 10 days. It is inexpensive and safe to use. Treat all of your birds at the same time.

Mites literally such the life out of your pet. Canaries are also prone to air sac mites (they live inside the respiratory tract), and these can be lethal. It is imperative that you treat your birds as soon as possible. If the birds are infested with air sac mites, they may still die, even when treated. Dead mites can clog the birds' airway.

Good luck!

This is a very serious problem for you and your birds. Take them to an avian vet and you will get a proper medication for them. The over-the-counter medications do not work. You will need a perscription for them!

Usually, a vet will perscribe ivamectrin for mites. It is suspended in a solution and given in a specific dosage for your bird's size and weight.

You will also need to get information on how to completely disinfect the cage, perches, toys, and feeding cups without harming your birds.
