I think she was just trying to help but if it had been my son, I would have instructed him on how to do it and then had my husband help because I know how goofy you guys are around this age. It has already happened so just try and move on.

If you are in 7th grade and did this with paint cans then that says you are not able to do certain things for yourself. If you were trying to use water to wash off that spray paint it tells a great deal about your lack of knowledge of the subject, both of paint and cleaning it off. Without her to take care of you it sounds like you would be a total wreck within a week. She needed to do what she did because you were not capable of handling the situation, and in that respect you are far from "way too old". It's not a matter of humiliation, it's a matter of stupidity.

My daughter is two years younger than you and if she would have done this, I think I would have reacted in a similar way. It is understanding how you could feel embarrassed to be naked in front of your mother and sibiling. However, there are a couple of things you need to remember. One, she changed your diapers for 3 years. (depending on how long it took to potty train you). I am going to assume she bathed you for another 5 years after that. So, what you have she has seen before. Secondly, she was doing what she felt needed to be done. Chemicals can be absorbed through the skin. These chemicals can cause medical issues. I worked in a position where I had to handle chemicals on a daily basis. I would have to take a blood test ever 3 months to make sure I was not absorbing these chemical. If this is really bugging you, then you need to talk to your mom. Tell her that you understood what had to be done, but you felt embarrassed. Ask (key word is ask) her to start giving you a little more privacy when naked. So, ultimately what I would suggest you do is to give her a hug and thank her for caring so much. Because, keeping thoughts of retalition in you head are just going to make things worse before they get better.

I understand it was a accident. The chemical to get paint off you would have stuck to you close, maybe reack it. She did the right thing that way. maybe she could have told your brother to go. And maybe put some undies on if you felt uncomfortable. Maybe you to ask nicely to put some undies on. Hopefully she will understand if not sorry that she doen't. Good luck

I'm sorry that happened. That is very embarrassing especially with your little brother watching. Let's just hope nothing like this happens again. If it does just tell your mom you feel uncomfortable being naked in front of her since your getting older. Hopefully she will understand. Either way you need to do what you feel comfortable with it's your body. I am a mom of 3 boys and I try to give them their privacy.

Your mom was looking out for you and helping you. Spray paint is difficult to get off. Next time, think about what you do before you do it so you don't feel humiliated again.

Talk to her in a mature manner - tell her how you feel. She will always see you as her little boy - I doubt she has a clue she humiliated you - she was just trying to get the paint off.

Wow! Thats harsh!
I can see why she'd be upset, its a mess she'll probably end up cleaning. But I agree having you strip down was insulting. At the least, she couldve brought you a towel or old clothes that could get paint and tell you to change and get in the shower.
Sorry.

Yeah i know man shes your mom, you are kinda like a part of her. And what happened was between your family, so no sweat. Youve got nothing to hide, whats there to be embarrased about she did what needed to be done.
