OK my god i asked a question not your opinon people!

ok again please... i asked how many puppies can a teacup chihuahua have..

ok honeychild i am not risking anyones life you liberal.. i am asking a simple question use common sense

There is no such thing as a teacup or toy chihuahua. Where as the Poodle has the Standard, Toy and Miniature breed, the Chihuahua does not. So don't be fooled by breeders trying to charge more for something that simply does not exist. All a "teacup" is a fancy term for the RUNT of the litter, size of the parents has little to with their size as all Chihuahuas come from the same toy gene.
If you do have a very tiny Chihuahua who is pregnant she may have up to 3 pups if she is very lucky. Normal sized Chi's only have up to 3 pups. Most likely a "teacup" will only have one and then she may need an expensive C-section costing nearly $1000 and then the pup may still not survive. This is very dangerous for such a tiny dog to be giving birth. If you are thinking of breeding her please reconsider it. In my opinion, the best way to try to breed for tiny Chihuahuas is to have a tiny male for stud and a standard, healthy sized female no smaller than 5-6 lbs. I have seen some very, very tiny males, one was only 2lbs and fully grown! This is the best way to ensure healthy pups and much safer for the mother.

If you havnt noticed, when you ask a question on here, people give their opinion. If you think there is such a thing as a teacup chihuahua, then you should definately not be breeding. A breeding female should generally not be under 4lbs, it is dangerous to breed from anything smaller. I cant believe how many people are prepared to put their dog through that and risk its life for the sake of small puppies. Very irresponsible.

You should be the one using common sense. If the dog is tiny, it shouldnt be bred from. Thats is common sense.

the average litter size for a chihuahua is 2 puppies.

1-3 pups but I would probably say 1. Since my dogs are 5lbs and not considered tea cups and they only have 3

it is true about the name but that is NOT what you asked!http://members.aol.com/ChihuahuaClub/teacup.html.... i hate people like these! um i searched around and found that site...so if it is true that teacup is just like a regular one you should be able to have the same amount...sorry this isnt too helpful i'll keep looking for you but i did want to tell you that i hate when people do that...sorry! o and if they were too small to breed they wouldnt have been bred either....

they should not have pups they are way too small and they would ultimately have to have a c-section which is well over a thousand dollars.
