Bread crumbs usually work for me...
I like the Italian seasoned ones but you can try the plain if you want. =]

Like mix it into the meat when youre making it...

It should hold it together...
one egg as well if you mix all that together it should hold pretty good and it tastes awesome!

There could be a couple factors here.Too little fat and your burgers will be dry, flavorless, and fall apart. So if you are using beef that is more than 85% lean it could be the problem. The bbq sauce may also be the problem. Try just basting with it and don't mix it in. If you want a smoky flavor use a couple dashes of hickory smoke flavoring when you shape them.

It could also be the fas dispersion to remedy that you can work the ground meat with your hands. Take a handful of meat and squeeze it through your fingers (like making a fist. Keep doing this several times to the entire batch. You are basically spreading the fat out. Shape as firmly as possible. And remember, This thinner the burger, the more likely it will fall apart.

Try adding some breadcrumbs and a beaten egg. If you prefer, you could use oatmeal (the real stuff, not the packaged instant kind) instead of the bread crumbs. Maybe you are adding too much BBQ sauce. If the meat is too wet, then it will fall apart, so the bread crumbs or oatmeal help to bulk it up a bit, and the egg helps it to bind together. As another member advised, don't handle the meat too much when making the patties (that can sometimes toughen the burger).

I usually just make them into round meatballs and flatten them out. Between my hands I press real hard. They always stay together. Make sure when you fry it in the pan you are not turning it over too soon. Let it cook a bit before attempting to turn it over. You can also add a raw egg and mix it well with the meat . Good Luck! I Love "Homemade Burgers" ;)

Well one thing I learned when I was younger with cooking Hamburgers, MeatLoaf, Meatballs, anything that deals with you having to keep the meat together is

Like with Hamburgers
use your regular seasoning.
I like to use A-1 sauce, ketchup, mustard, little bbq sauce, salt, pepper, parm. cheese, roasted fresh garlic or garlic powder. Works really well.

Meatballs

A-1 sauce, parm cheese, italian bread crumbs, roasted garlic, minced onions, salt, pepper, touch of italian dressing.
MMMMMMmmmmm its really good.

But try and use Bread Crumbs or Parm Cheese anything with texture. The cheese adds something to your meats flavor. Its really good. Try it...
Hope this helps...

Just make sure you mix it together really well and don't be afraid to use your hands to smash it into a good burger. Ground beef comes from the store kind of loose. IT needs to be formed into burgers.

Add 1 egg and 1 slice of bread that was soaked in milk (make sure to SQUEEZE OUT ALL THE MILK before adding the bread to your beef). I can assure you 100% that when you do this, your burgers won't fall apart.

I always work my patties in my hands to make sure all the meat is pressed firmly together. They never fall apart on me! as for seasoning sounds good to me! Good luck!

switch to chicken..

What I would do is maybe add some bread crumbs or onions anything to hold the burger together. a few cracker crumbs.. Maybe the bbq sauce makes it too moist.. put the sauce on a few minutes before the burgers are ready!
